As Commercial Director, John is committed to ensuring your V&A Home exceeds your expectations in every way. Originally from the North East of England he first moved to Yorkshire to study Quantity Surveying at Leeds and has since settled in Wetherby.

Richard Watson
Senior Technical Manager
Achieving two first class honours degrees in Architecture and membership of RIBA, Richard brings a wealth of design and technical experience and understanding to our team which allows him to work with our external design consultants to deliver the highest quality design concepts for all V&A Homes and to ensure best in class coordination of delivery. He is skilled in transferring our aspirations into reality through the construction process thus ensuring the end product is as we want it for your arrival. He returned home to Yorkshire, having also spent many years in the North East, where he now lives with his wife and three young sons.

Dave Fisher
Multi-trade Foreman
Born and bred in North Yorkshire, Dave brings a lifetime of local knowledge to V&A Homes as well as 20 years’ experience in the building and construction industry. As our multi-trade foreman, he is one of those skilled individuals who can turn his hand to almost anything and provides solutions to the trickiest of problems. When not working, Dave is kept busy with his seven children and four grandchildren.

Ethan Fisher
Apprentice Carpenter
We are really excited that Ethan has joined the V&A team as an apprentice carpenter. Currently he is combining working alongside his dad, Dave, while studying carpentry at York College. It is a real privilege to be able to support Ethan at this stage in his career. He is a real talent, and we are looking forward to seeing him develop.

Land & Planning Manager
Like many of our team, Jon is home-grown. He grew up in the Harrogate area and after his university studies took him first to Oxford and then Greece he returned to Yorkshire. With more than 20 years’ experience, Jon is a highly skilled town and country planning specialist. He has a keen eye for identifying prime development opportunities and a meticulous approach to managing the planning approval process.

Claire Harper
Customer Care and Accounts Administrator
Born and bred in Yorkshire, Claire graduated with a degree in paediatric nursing from the University of Leeds. She spent eight years as a nurse, but after the birth of her own two children she decided to have a break from the wards and joined a family-run construction business. The NHS’ loss is definitely our gain and as well as being our valued accounts administrator, Claire has recently taken on an additional role in customer care.
“They might seem to be two very different careers, but so many of the skills I learned as a nurse are transferrable to this profession. I really love working for a family run business which really does put people at its heart.”
Emily Barber Yarborough
Financial Controller
A Harrogate native, Emily graduated with a degree in mathematics from the University of Leeds before embarking on a career in finance and qualifying as an ACA Chartered Accountant. Having moved around the UK in her role as Audit Manager at KPMG, she made the move back to Yorkshire, and into industry, in 2020. Joining V&A Homes in 2024 as our Financial Controller, Emily's experience working with leading global businesses and her passion for her hometown make her a great fit for our expanding family business.
